As an expert in tube processing, TecPro supplies components, complete assemblies and systems to the automotive and commercial vehicle industry as well as the mechanical and plant engineering sector.
A request for cross tubes for trailer couplings led to a collaboration with the company TRUMPF GmbH und Co KG and its partner transfluid Maschinenbau GmbH. The plan: to set up an automated process chain for tubes in the company's own production facilities. And in close cooperation with the customer.
The tubes are processed in three steps:
1. TRUMPF TruLaser Tube 7000 fiber
The tubes are laser cut to the required length.
2. transfluid CNC mandrel bending machine
The tubes are bent according to the drawing specifications.
3. TRUMPF TruLaser Cell 8030
The final trimming of the contours is carried out using a 3D laser process, as they would otherwise be deformed during bending.
Between these steps, the tubes are inserted into the next machine in the automated system network using KUKA robots. This makes the entire process automatic and saves time.
With the automated process chain, TecPro can not only successfully handle this order, but also create a quality and cost advantage for future orders.
