Competences coming together

The development from a little metal working shop to a corporate group with numerous business divisions was characterised by diligence, innovative power and the willingness to consistently go along with technological advances.

After Hans Voshaar had founded and established Neuenhauser Maschinenbau GmbH, his successor and son, Bernd Voshaar, continually expanded the company's scope. The first step was taken in 1986, with the acquisition of the compressor production from the Jos L. Meyer shipyard, heralding the founding of Neuenhauser Kompressorenbau GmbH. Four years later, with the takeover of the product area travelling cleaners from Stemmann-Technik GmbH in Schüttorf, the new transport automation business segment followed.

Two more milestones in the 1990s were the acquisition of Glüpker Blechtechnologie GmbH (1995) and the hour of birth of the environmental technology business segment (1996). In addition, the pressure vessel programme of Thyssen was taken over in 1996, further expanding the Neuenhauser Kompressorenbau portfolio. In 1997, the former Osnabrück-based Vorwald Spannelemente was integrated into Neuenhauser Maschinenbau GmbH, as "Neuenhauser Vorwald".

Over the years, the Neuenhauser brand has constantly developed, providing customers with wide-ranging support and convincing them with customised solutions in the environmental technology sector, the textile industry, job order production, plant construction, and many more specialist areas. Not all business divisions and companies ultimately turned out to be economically feasible, so that they had to be sold or closed down accordingly. As a corporate group, we can also learn from this and position ourselves on an even stronger foundation for the future.
